Happy Holidays

Offices will be closed December 23, 26, 30, and January 2nd for Christmas and New Year’s. We wish all residents a wonderful holiday season!

Dues Assessments

Dues will be sent out this month and are due in January. With increases seen from all vendors and suppliers, and needing to start building reserves, we’ve had to increase the dues from $450 each half to $550 per half. It’s definitely not what we wanted to do, but in order to maintain the community we have it is necessary. We did take bids to get competitive pricing. Your statement will include a budget for reference. Please reach out if you have any questions or concerns. We greatly appreciate your support in maintaining our beautiful community!

Bird Flu

Southwest Idaho has had reports of waterfowl deaths resulting from avian cholera and avian influenza. These illnesses are often referred to as the bird flu and often affect our migratory birds like geese and ducks, but can also affect domestic birds and poultry. While avian cholera is not considered a human health risk, avian influenza does require some safety precautions. Because of this Idaho Fish and Game requested that if you see multiple dead birds, to report them to the Nampa Regional Office at 208-465-8465. Depending on the number of birds and access to PPE Fish and Game may ask the caller to dispose of the carcass. To be safe, stay away from migratory birds when possible, and especially when they are sick or acting different.

Fine Policy

In order to help address violations, the Board is planning to adopt a fine policy starting January 1, 2023. We never want to resort to fines, but we’re hoping this tool we help us to maintain the rules that we have all agreed to. Please look over this DRAFT, and you may provide feedback through December 31, 2022.

Food Drive Results

Thank you to all who donated. We were able to collect 2,861 lbs of food and paper goods through our combined efforts with our neighboring communities. This will serve the local network of food bank recipients in need for an entire month. Last year we only brought in 1,800 lbs, so this is an awesome increase. Thank you!
